A new feature in Meta’s well-liked X (previously Twitter) program Threads will assist users in finding trending topics.
The purpose of this new feature is to facilitate users’ ability to locate and follow conversations that are pertinent to their interests.
Users in the US will now see a label displaying popular subjects.
Users can filter postings relevant to particular topics by tapping this label, which opens a second window with the “Top” and “Recent” tabs.
Content will be easier to find and more suited to the interests of the user thanks to this feature.
After going through testing in the United States in March, the functionality was completely released to users in the country one month later.
There is no guaranteed date for its availability in other regions, even though the launch is presently only available in the United States.
According to Instagram CEO Adam Mosseri, users in the United States can now see a label above posts that highlights relevant hot topics.
The “Top” and “Recent” tabs in the new window allow you to filter posts. Tapping on the label will show you more posts about that topic.
“Hoping this makes it easier to find posts and follow conversations that are relevant to your interests,” Mosseri said on Threads.
The platform started rolling out a new multi-feed experience, a la TweetDeck, on its desktop interface in May.
This was created to provide more tailored content and improve the user experience.
A similar multi-feed experience is also being tested by Threads for a limited number of iOS users.
We earlier reported that the CEO of Meta, Mark Zuckerberg announced that his social media app, Threads has surpassed 175 million monthly active users.
