A young Nigerian man who constructed a tricycle, also known as Keke, in local parlance, has been celebrated by well-meaning citizens
The man, identified as Faisal, was reported to have fabricated the Keke from locally sourced materials.
A Nigerian with the Twitter handle, @OvieNews, shared the pictures and asked fellow citizens to support the young man.
“A Nigerian man from Kano, Faisal, fabricates this tricycle from scratch. “Please retweet to find him more support and sponsors,” he tweeted.
In one of the photos shared on Twitter, the young man was pictured drawing the design of the tricycle on paper from a laptop. In another, he was seen in the workshop wielding the metal part of the tricycle.
A third photo showed the man riding the completed tricycle on the road with made-in-Kano boldly written on the side of the vehicle.
Citizens who reacted to the post urged the government to support the young man financially so that he could manufacture the tricycle for sale.
