Ajax have reached a verbal agreement with Arsenal to sign Oleksandr Zinchenko on loan until June, with the deal now at the “here we go” stage.
The Ukrainian international is expected to travel to Amsterdam within the next 24 hours to undergo medical tests before completing the move. Ajax will cover Zinchenko’s full salary for the duration of the loan.
The agreement brings an end to Zinchenko’s expected switch to Nottingham Forest (#NFFC), with the Eredivisie giants moving swiftly to secure the versatile defender-midfielder.
Dutch outlet *De Telegraaf* reports that all key terms are in place, clearing the way for the former Manchester City player to bolster Ajax’s squad for the remainder of the season.
Zinchenko, who joined Arsenal in 2022, adds experience, leadership and tactical flexibility to Ajax as they push for domestic and European objectives.
