Lai Mohammed has responded to the criticisms levelled against him by the pan-Yoruba socio-political organisation, Afenifere for stating the Federal Government’s position on post-election issues.

The minister of information, culture and tourism had accused Peter Obi of inciting Nigerians to violence, adding that Afenifere’s attack on him was out of frustration.

Mohammed claimed Afenifere invested heavily on Obi’s presidential ambition and they have failed woefully as well as losing their relevance in the southwest region of the country.

His words: “Fortunate were days when the Afenifere sneezed and the whole country would catch a cold. It is not the same thing right now. “When Afenifere talks and you begin to ask yourself, which Afenifere? you know what that means.”
