Super Eagles midfielder Frank Onyeka has explained why he wants his compatriot and teammate Victor Osimhen to join a team in the English Premier League (EPL).
Onyeka, who made his preference clear as to where he wants the striker to play next season if he leaves Napoli, said that he hopes that Osimhen makes a move to England.
In an interview with Sky Sports UK, Onyeka was questioned if he could play alongside Osimhen at Brentford and what it was like to play beside him in the Nigerian squad at the Africa Cup of Nations.
He replied saying, “No, no, no! He’s too expensive! He’s a really good guy, but he’s someone who wants to win. He doesn’t like to lose, even in training. He always wants to push players around him; and try to encourage them. He’s a fighter.
“He’s always there to help the team and fight for the team. Even when the team is down, he’ll be the first man to push the team. He never gives up. For me, he was one of the best players in the tournament, but people don’t really see what he does.
“Hopefully he comes to the Premier League,” Frank stated.
