Damini Ogulu (aka Burna Boy) has revealed that he was inspired by the late Indian rapper Sidhu Mojo Wala during his time of artistic bankruptcy.
The Grammy-winning singer said that Sidhu was a source of inspiration to him when he felt like he had already accomplished everything musically.
“I was exhausted musically because I’d listened to everything and it didn’t make sense to me,” he said. “Sidhu brought a different angle to my music.
He was a legend, a legend of Punjab, and there won’t be another one like him. He was among my biggest inspirations.”
The ‘African Giant’ crooner had been working on a collaborative project with Mojo Wala before his untimely death in May 2022, according to Burna Boy.
