Governor Godwin Obaseki of Edo State has approved the promotion of civil and public servants deemed eligible for advancement for the periods covering 1st July 2023 and 1st January 2024
The decision was conveyed via a circular signed by Mrs. Bamaiyi Osedebamen Rebecca on behalf of the Head of Service, urging all Ministries, Parastatals, and Government Agencies to conclude the promotion exercise promptly.
“I am directed to refer to the above subject and to inform you that the Governor of Edo State, His Excellency, Godwin Nogheghase Obaseki has graciously approved the promotion of officers eligible for promotion for 1st July 2023 and 1st January 2024,” the circular stated.
It emphasized the importance of swift action, highlighting that all departments must ensure the smooth and timely execution of the promotion process.
The circular also stressed the necessity for strict compliance, urging Accounting Officers to oversee and guarantee that all Agencies and Parastatals under their jurisdiction adhere to the directives provided.
The move is expected to boost morale among civil and public servants in Edo State and further enhance productivity within government agencies.
It has also sparked wild jubilations among the state government workers who are expected to benefit from the gesture.
