Nigeria has emerged 8th out of the 10 countries for international student enrollment in the United States of America.

The recent report released by the World of Statistics focuses on the number of international students studying in the United States in 2023.

The data reveals the students’ top countries of origin, shedding light on the global diversity within American higher education institutions.

Here are the statistics for the number of international students in the USA in 2023, along with their respective countries:

  • India (๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ณ): 253,631
  • South Korea (๐Ÿ‡ฐ๐Ÿ‡ท): 47,682
  • Canada (๐Ÿ‡จ๐Ÿ‡ฆ): 31,819
  • Brazil (๐Ÿ‡ง๐Ÿ‡ท): 28,131
  • Vietnam (๐Ÿ‡ป๐Ÿ‡ณ): 24,176
  • Taiwan (๐Ÿ‡น๐Ÿ‡ผ): 21,312
  • Nigeria (๐Ÿ‡ณ๐Ÿ‡ฌ): 19,478

Experts say the statistics underscore the diverse and global nature of higher education in the United States, with China and India leading the way in the number of students pursuing their studies in American institutions.
