Former Super Eagles striker Odion Jude Ighalo has given the biggest hint yet that he may be about to retire from the game after declaring that he is winding up his football career.
Ighalo who gave the hint in an interview with OmaSports TV said that five years ago, if he loses a game he goes crazy and gets angry but now after the next day he moves on.
The father of three stated further that five years ago, he could play three games and recover properly but now it takes longer for him to recover from any injury.
“Yeah, not long, because you get tired, the body is not the same way it used to be. Sometimes you enjoy the game, but I don’t kill myself about it,” Ighalo said.
“It’s my job and I’m a professional player and try to win games. Five years ago, if I lost a game, I would go crazy and get angry, but now after the next day, I move on, not because I don’t love my job, but because I’m winding up.
