President-elect Tinubu condemns bandits’ attack in Kano, Zamfara

President-elect Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu has condemned the killings that occurred in Zamfara and Kano states by bandits.

Residents of the Maru local government area in Zamfara Maigari town of Rimin Gado local government in Kano were attacked by unknown bandits recently.

The All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate said the attacks were a reminder of the task that needs to be done to ensure the safety of the people in a statement by his media office on Monday, March 6, 2023.

Tinubu also added that a lot needs to be done to help repel attacks from terrorists and bandits across the country. 

In Zamfara, a divisional police officer, an inspector as well as a vigilante group members were attacked likewise in Kano where unknown gunmen invaded the residence of a village head and shot him dead. 

Reacting to both incidents, Tinubu said: “As a country, we have to come together to defeat these merchants of death and terror once and for all. Mindless killings and atrocities like this should have no place in our country.”
