Francis Uzoho, a Super Eagles goalkeeper, has apologised to his fans for his reply to the criticism that followed his poor performance in the recent friendlies between Nigeria and Saudi Arabia.
Uzoho conceded two goals in the two matches, while Ahmed Musa was excluded from the Super Eagles list, potentially ending his international career. Uzoho, 24, posted a photo on Snapchat with the caption “Do it if it’s easy” in response to the criticism.
Uzoho wrote on X, “I apologize for my recent Snapchat behaviour towards all of you as my devoted fans. I did not mean to treat you in such a way as I have been supported and inspired by you throughout my career.
I understand that you want me to be better, and I accept your criticism with respect. I strive to be better in all aspects of my life and career, and you are an integral part of that. My actions reflect that, and I will continue to strive to be better.”
