Nigerian rapper Falz alleged that the governor of Lagos state, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, selected himself and was never re-elected by the people.
The musician made the statement in reaction to Sanwo-Olu’s Twitter post, where the governor thanked the people of Lagos for voting for him for a second term.
Sanwo-Olu said he is honoured to be re-elected as your Governor and pledged to continue to work tirelessly to deliver a better Lagos for all.
But Falz responded by telling Sanwo-Olu that he is deceiving himself by the statement.
He Twitted:
“You were not re-elected. You selected yourself. Everybody saw it unfold. You are only deceiving yourselves.”

In another news, Falz has slammed officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) following the disruption of voting during the governorship and State Houses of Assembly elections.
The musician criticised the electoral body in reaction to a video which showed thugs attacking a polling unit during the election.
He stated that officials of the electoral body would be playing the role of clowns if they announce any winner despite the widespread violence in the elections.
