35-year-old Musa Lawan ends Yobe speaker’s 6th term ambition into National Assembly

Lawan Musa of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has ended the 6th term ambition of the speaker of the Yobe state house of assembly, Hon Ahmed Mirwa Lawan.

The 35-year-old emerged victorious at the Nguru II state constituency against the veteran politician in the keenly contested affair as he polled 6,648 votes while Lawan’s hopes were dashed as he had 6,648 votes.

Miran Lawan who represented the All Nigeria Peoples Party (ANPP) in 2003 has been a member of the National House of Assembly in the past 20 years.

The PDP’s Lawan ended the ambition of the political veteran as he will be representing the Nguru II state constituency when sworn into office on May 29, 2023.
