AC Milan soccer legend Filipo Galli has urged Stefano Pioli to play Samuel Chukwueze in Milan’s EUROPA league quarterfinal clash against Serie A side AS Roma.
Galli, who made the call in a chat with the Pianetamilan, said that Chukwueze starting with Roma could be an idea but this doesn’t mean giving up either Leao or Pulisic.
He noted that starting the Nigerian international alongside Rafael Leao and Christian Pulisic will be key for his team to overcome Roma in the second leg of the encounter.
“Chukwueze starting with Roma could be an idea but this doesn’t mean giving up either Leao or Pulisic and perhaps evaluating whether to move Loftus back to midfield; therefore, Pulisic is an attacking midfielder,” Galli told the Pianetamilan.

“Then obviously Pioli is there every day and knows the dynamics; he will be able to make the right choices .”
Galli’s remarks come weeks after Pioli declared that he was delighted with the recent improvements in the performances of Super Eagles winger Samuel Chukwueze.
Pioli, in an interview with Football Italia, stated that he is anticipating an improved performance from the winger in their upcoming game against Lecce.
According to him, Chukwueze’s recent stats collected in the last three days in competitive games and training are superior to those from his time with Spanish club Villarreal.
