The US Chamber of Commerce has invited President Bola Tinubu to ring the NASDAQ closing bell on September 20.

The stock exchange known as NASDAQ (National Association of Securities Dealers Automated Quotations) trades shares. There are no real trading floors, nevertheless, in contrast to other stock exchanges like the NYSE (New York Stock Exchange).

The closing bell announces the conclusion of a trading session on a specific day.

According to a statement issued by the US Chamber of Commerce on Monday, the bell-ringing ceremony with President Tinubu will coincide with the 78th session of the UN General Assembly (UNGA).

The event “symbolises the significance of the economic ties between the United States and Nigeria,” the organisation claims.

The News.ng had reported that President Tinubu is slated to speak at the 78th Session of the high-level General Debate of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) for September 19.
