Nigerian Football Federation (NFF) left-back Chidozie Awaziem Replaces Collins in Upcoming Super Eagles Friendlies has been recalled to the Super Eagles ahead of the international friendly games between the national team and two-time African Cup of Nations (AFCON) champions, Saudi Arabia.
AFCON announced on Monday that Collins had withdrawn from its 25-man provisional squad, but did not provide a reason for his departure.
Awaziem, a left-back for the Cardiff City side, is the third player to withdraw from the international squad.
It was reported on Sunday that two Nottingham Forest players, Taiwo Awoniyi (in the second row) and Ola Aina (in the third row), would miss the international friendly games due to injury.
Their replacements have since come to the rescue in the form of Tyronne Ebuehi (in the centre) and Umar Sadiq (in the left-back position).
The international friendly games will be played on Friday (13 October) in Saudi Arabia, with the second match taking place on Monday (16 October) in Portugal.
