Ericsson is focused on utilising its strong 5G infrastructure and worldwide experience to propel Thailand’s digital revolution.
Anders Rian, president of Ericsson Thailand, confirmed the development in a statement.
The company’s goal, which was revealed today, is to hasten Thailand’s transition to a digital economy.
As per the report, the recently finished 5G Innovation and Experience Studio in Thailand Digital Valley is a key component of Ericsson’s strategy.
This state-of-the-art 5G co-creation centre was established in partnership with the Royal Thai Government by the Digital Economy Promotion Agency (DEPA).
Rian, said: “5G is a platform for innovation. It enables new services for consumers, enterprises and industry.
“We remain committed to fostering partnerships and innovations to ensure that Thailand reaps the full benefits of a robust and sustainable 5G network.”
He stated that despite a difficult economic outlook, spending on digital infrastructure has shown to be essential and draws in outside capital. Thailand is headed towards being a digital hub, according to Mr. Rian.
“We hope [the 5G Innovation and Experience Studio] will encourage new, innovative use cases in Thailand, leveraging the full potential of 5G. By working together with other ecosystem players, we will drive digital transformation that will benefit the Thai people, the economy, and the country,” Rian added.
The studio is equipped with Ericsson’s cutting-edge 5G sandbox network, which is intended to help the company develop, test, validate, and certify novel 5G use cases in collaboration with international partners.
It features several cutting-edge applications, including 360-degree wearable CCTV cameras, automated mobile robots (AMR), and an automated production machine developed in partnership with Mitsubishi.
