To spread cutting-edge AI technologies to Indian businesses and hasten cloud adoption, Airtel India and Google Cloud have announced a strategic partnership amid the rapid growth of the Indian public cloud market.
Google Cloud CEO, Thomas Kurian, confirmed the partnership in a statement seen by Newsng on Monday.
According to the telecom operator, Google Cloud and Airtel will make their suite of cloud services available to the operator’s clientele, which includes one million start-ups and over 2,000 large corporations.
Additionally, it will provide marketing technology solutions and voice analytics for multilingual conversational apps.
In addition, the telecom operator intends to enhance its internal procedures and operations in India and abroad, as well as incorporate Google’s cloud-based AI capabilities into its mobile, internet, and digital TV offerings.
Newsng gathered that Airtel has set up a managed services centre in Pune to facilitate these technical developments. With over 300 employees skilled in digital services and Google Cloud technologies, this centre provides organisations with knowledgeable support.
The rapidly expanding Indian public cloud market, which is expected to reach $17.8 billion by 2027, is the focus of this partnership.
The strategic partnership with Airtel, according to Kurian, is a step forward in the company’s ambition to quicken the adoption of cloud and AI in India.
“Through this partnership, we aim to develop transformative solutions that enhance Airtel’s customer experiences and expand their service offerings globally,” he noted.
