The independent National Electoral Commission [INEC] has declared gov Hope Uzodimma the winner of Imo state Guber elections, With 540,308 votes, Uzodimma defeated Anyanwu of the PDP (71,503) and Achonu of the LP (64,081).
The All Progressives Congress (APC) Hope Uzodimma has been proclaimed the victor of last Saturday’s governorship election by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
Abayomi Fasina, the state collation and returning officer for INEC, reported that Uzodimma, the APC candidate, received 540,308.
The People’s Democratic Party’s (PDP) nominee for governor, Senator Samuel Anyanwu, received 71,503 votes overall, placing him in second place.
Senator Athan Achonu, the Labour Party’s (LP) candidate for governor, received 64,081 votes, placing him in third place.
