Shehu Sani has reacted to the claims made by Governor Nasir El-Rufai that there are plans by the governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria Godwin Emefiele and others making way for the military to takeover.
The Kaduna state governor was furious at the hardship the scarcity of naira notes was causing Nigerians hardship in recent weeks and suggested this could incite a military intervention to democracy.
However, former lawmaker Sani debunked such claims saying that President Muhammadu Buhari would never want the military to topple the government.

Sani made a post on his Twitter handle on Friday, February 17, 2023, describing El-Rufai’s allegations as fiction as well as acting as the author in the script being played to Nigerians.
He said: “It’s impossible to believe that the President who inaugurated a transition committee will at the same time be muting the idea of an interim Government.
“Interim Gov’t is a work of fiction by its authors.”
