The Olofa of Offa in Kwara state Oba Mufutau Gbadamosi has distanced himself from the leaked audio conversation between Peter Obi and Bishop David Oyedepo.
The monarch made a statement on his social media handle on Monday, March 3, 2023, describing the leaked audio as an “unguarded manipulation of facts and disinformation”.
The principal private secretary of the traditional ruler Olayinka Kadri said that Gbadamosi’s name was wrongly mentioned in the leaked audio and that he was never involved in influencing the 2023 general elections.

Oba Gbadamosi said the Labour Party (LP) presidential candidate Obi was only hosted at the Offa palace and he would not stop doing that to others who have political ambition.
A statement in part read: “We hereby condemn this malicious and mischievous anecdote aimed at discrediting the revered stool of the headquarters of Ibolo Kingdom and advise the general public and mischief makers to refrain forthwith.”
