Babajide Sanwo-Olu, the Governor of Lagos State, has emphasized the pivotal role of technology in fostering sustainable solutions across various sectors.

He made this known during his keynote address at Endeavor Nigeria’s Annual Scale Up Entrepreneurship Summit.

Governor Sanwo-Olu highlighted the Lagos State government’s unwavering commitment to utilizing technology as a catalyst for progress and innovation.

He underscored his administration’s initiatives, notably the expansion of fiber optics infrastructure and robust support extended to Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) through the Lagos State Employment Trust Fund (LSETF).

The Governor stressed that technology remains a cornerstone in driving the vision for a more advanced and dynamic Lagos.

He also proudly unveiled the Lagos Agripreneurship Programme (L.A.P), an initiative to empower young entrepreneurs with cutting-edge agricultural technology.

According to him, the L.A.P aims to spur job creation and sustainable wealth generation within the agricultural value chain, aligning with the state’s commitment to fostering economic growth.

Governor Sanwo-Olu commended Endeavor Nigeria for its role in nurturing and providing essential platforms for emerging enterprises.

His words:

”We must commend Endeavor Nigeria for providing the platform and support that has given rise to incredible enterprises that have harnessed the power of innovation and technology.

”These enterprises have achieved incredible global visibility as a result of the deployment of innovation and technology to provide solutions to challenges, especially in the financial sector as well as tech-driven platforms that support seamless transactions.

”As a government, we are excited by these incredible achievements, because it has further validated the status of Lagos as Africa’s hub for startups driven by innovation and technology.

”These exciting developments also point to the appropriateness of all the policies and programmes we have been implementing to provide the enabling environment that encourages and supports the growth and development of entrepreneurship.”
