Honourable Ginger Onwusibe of the Labour Party has been declared winner of the House of Representatives member-elect for Isialangwa North and South Federal constituency.
The Independent Electoral Commission announced the former council chairman as winner after defeating Governor Okezie Ikpeazu’s preferred candidate and his immediate past Chief of Staff, Professor Anthony Agbazuere in the polls.
Ginger made history for the LP after gathering 20,4111 votes to beat his PDP opponent, who had 13,508 votes.

In another milestone victory for the Labour Party (LP) Donatus Mathew won the Kaura Federal Constituency seat in the Kaura local government Area of Kaduna state.
According to the News Agency of Nigeria, Mathew polled 10,508 votes to defeat his closest opponent, the incumbent, Gideon Gwani of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), who garnered 10,297 votes.
The PDP lawmaker was making his fifth attempt to return into the National Assembly but lost to the first timer.
