Naira Marley tells Muslims to stop betting during Ramadan

Nigerian singer Naira Marley has advised his fellow Muslim brothers against betting during Ramadan.

In a post on his Twitter handle, he admonished his brothers-in-Islam to stop gambling. He told Muslims to forgo sports betting and sure odds in this auspicious month, admonishing them to fast instead.

Naira Marley’s statement comes after the Sultan of Sokoto, Saad Abubakar, on Wednesday, March 21, announced that the holy fasting month of Ramadan would begin in Nigeria on Thursday, March 23, 2023.

The monarch is also the president of the Nigerian Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs (NSCIA).

In another news, popular Instagram influencer MandyKiss says she would like to have a child with Afrobeats singer Naira Marley.

The content creator, who has a tattoo of Naira Marley on her lap made the statement when speaking about marriage in a recent interview with a notable podcast host, Timi Agbaje.

Regarding her plan to get married someday, the content creator stated that marriage is a stressful institution.
