Jose Peseiro, the head coach of the Nigerian national football team, has declared that the friendly match against Saudi Arabia, scheduled for Friday in Portugal, will be a difficult match for the Super Eagles.
This will be the second time that the Super Eagles will face the Arab nation, having faced them in a 2010 friendly, which ended in a 0-0 draw.
In 2022 World Cup qualification, the three-time AFC Asian Cup winners stunned Argentina 2-1 in the group stage.
Peseiro, who headed the Super Eagles Players from 2000 to 2011, is careful.
Peseiro said in a press conference on Thursday “Saudi Arabia was the last team that beat Argentina, so I think it’s going to be a tough game and also a good game for our team, and we’re going to get off to a great start against them.”
Peseiro added, “We want to beat them and Mozambique so that we can have a good preparation for the first two matches of the World Cup qualifying because Nigeria has to play in the next World Cup.”
