Reno Omokri, a former aide to ex-president Goodluck Jonathan, has called out the Labour Party (LP) presidential candidate for pursuing a sectional agenda.
Mr Omokri in a post via his X account formally known as Twitter on Friday also alleged that the former Anambra state governor is fighting against the Muslim Ummah in Nigeria.
He also alleged that Mr Obi harbours a hidden hatred for the Muslim parts of Nigeria.
“Peter Obi is not fighting a national struggle. He is fighting a sectional one. He is fighting against the Muslim Ummah. He wants to unleash a religious war on them. He harbours a hatred for them that he disguises. Hand him power, and you are giving a bigot a loaded gun to destroy more than half of Nigeria’s population.
The former presidential aide also referenced that Mr. Obi appointed a Christian from the South as the State Coordinator for his campaign in Sokoto.
“Remember that he appointed a Christian from the South as the State Coordinator for his campaign in Sokoto. Such a man cannot manage Nigeria’s diversity. Just look at his followers. Hateful, violent, threatening, intolerant, abusive, indecent, uncouth, unfeeling, insensitive, bitter, ungrateful, uncultured, unreasonable, full of bile, acrimonious. And those are the same people that he will appoint into power if he wins at the Supreme Court. Our lord justices must never let that happen!
In the past, Mr. Omokri has gone on the attack against Mr. Obi and his Obidients fans, notably on social media. Additionally, he has criticised the support group for acting vilely and aggressively against critics on social media.
However, many Nigerians have since reacted differently to Mr Omokri’s statement, with some praising him for his observation and others criticising him for consistently siding with Mr Obi.
