Reflecting on the adverse impact of previous militancy and its significant contribution to Nigeria’s economic downturn, particularly the drastic drop in oil production during the global financial crisis of 2007-2008, Murray-Bruce stressed the urgency for a prudent intervention to prevent a return to such destabilizing times.
