Chigozirim Aliyu Emeakayi, an All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftain, has described Peter Obi as the worst thing to happen to Nigerians between 2022 and 2023.

Obi, a former governor of Anambra state, contested to be Nigeria’s president under the Labour Party (LP) in the 2023 general elections.

Emeakayi, who is from the same state as the LP presidential candidate, said Obi has bastardised Nigeria’s polity.

His words:

”Nigerian judges and their families have never been threatened or attacked during tribunal proceedings since 1999 until Peter Obi decided to run for president.

”Nigeria churches have never been used for any political activity or campaign since 1999 until Peter Obi decided to run for president.

”Tribalism and ethnic bigotry have never existed in Nigeria’s political space since 1999 until Peter Obi decided to run for president.

”BBNaija has been on for years without tribal, ethnic and religious sentiments until Peter Obi decided to run for president.

”Mr Peter Obi is the worst thing that happened to Nigerians between 2022 and 2023; that man brought irreparable damage to Nigeria’s religious, political, and ethnic unity.

”Now imagine a man like Peter Obi as the president of Nigeria; that would automatically spell doom for Nigeria.”

Emeakayi commented as Obi supporters continued their campaign for the Nigerian judiciary to be fair in its judgment concerning the presidential election tribunal.

Obi is challenging the declaration of APC’s Bola Tinubu as the winner of the 2023 presidential election by the Independent National Electoral Commission.
