Qatar and Nigeria have inked several agreements and memorandums of understanding (MoUs) covering various sectors, including education, mining, agriculture, youth and sports, tourism, and cooperation between interior ministries.
The deals were formalized during President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s visit to Doha, with Qatar’s Amir, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, and President Tinubu present at the signing ceremony.

The establishment of a business council.
Fostering cooperation.
An MoU between the Qatar Chamber and the Nigerian Association of Chambers of Commerce.
Additionally, a significant focus was placed on regulation in the workforce sector.
Before the signing ceremonies, President Tinubu expressed confidence in Nigeria’s skilled and talented youth, presenting them as valuable partners for Qatar’s development.
He highlighted Nigeria’s substantial market of over 200 million skilled individuals and emphasized the country’s readiness for serious business.
Amir Sheikh Tamim praised Nigerians for their brilliance and hard work, emphasizing the importance of ensuring such qualities contribute to Nigeria’s internal development.
He shared insights into Qatar’s model of international investment, emphasizing a careful and studied approach to opportunities to secure sustainable prosperity for future generations.
