Radisson Group, a prominent name in the hospitality industry, has set its sights on Nigeria’s burgeoning market, announcing a grand plan to introduce four new hotels to its existing portfolio by 2025.
The move is poised to significantly bolster the country’s accommodation offerings and cater to the growing demand for diverse hospitality experiences.
The four upcoming hotels are strategically located across key Nigerian cities:
Radisson Collection Hotel & Conference Center, Maitama, Abuja: This flagship project boasts 249 rooms and includes a state-of-the-art conference centre, aiming to become a hub for business and upscale accommodation in the heart of Abuja.
Radisson Blu Hotel, Abuja Central Business District: With 104 rooms, this hotel is set to offer a luxurious stay experience in the bustling Central Business District of Abuja, targeting both business and leisure travellers.
Radisson RED, Victoria Island, Lagos: This trendy concept, offering 62 rooms, marks the brand’s entry into Lagos’ vibrant scene, catering to the millennial and modern traveller seeking an energetic and art-inspired stay.
Radisson Hotel Benin City: Nestled in Benin City, this hotel will offer 169 rooms, presenting a promising addition to the city’s hospitality landscape.
The collective addition of these new properties is expected to contribute almost 600 new rooms to Radisson Group’s existing 8-hotel, ~850-room portfolio in Nigeria.
All four projects are slated for completion by 2025, showcasing Radisson’s commitment to expansion and investment in the country’s growing tourism and business sectors.
Experts say the move underscores Radisson Group’s confidence in Nigeria’s economic prospects and its commitment to providing diverse accommodation options, meeting the varying needs of travellers across different segments.
As the country positions itself as a hub for business and leisure, these new hotels are anticipated to play a pivotal role in shaping Nigeria’s hospitality landscape.
