Uber, a ride-hailing service, has introduced “nautical experiences” for tourists visiting Europe.
The ride-hailing firm confirmed the expansion plans in a press release.
According to Reuters, the corporation is working to meet the strong demand brought on by European travel.
On the Spanish island of Ibiza, the service known as “Uber Yacht” will be on sale for reservations on July 26. It will be accessible in the latter part of August.
The ride-hailing company said it intends to introduce a “limo boat” service in Venice, Italy which will let users explore the Venetian Lagoon.
According to the release, Uber Boat will go to beach clubs, picturesque coves, and secluded locations in Greece starting in July, after expanding from Mykonos to Athens, Corfu, and Santorini.
The company also announced Uber Cruise, a one-hour private trip on the Seine River aboard an all-electric boat that offers views of Notre Dame, Le Louvre, and the Eiffel Tower.
“The series of magical nautical experiences setting sail with Uber this summer will include the most luxurious mode of transport ever to launch on its app. Following Uber’s launch in Europe’s party capital last year, Uber Yacht will arrive on the shores of Ibiza in August, giving customers an affordable way to travel in ultimate style,” the company said.
This coincides with the eagerly expected Summer Olympics in 2024, which will take place in France in July and August. It is anticipated that a sizable number of tourists will journey to Europe to attend the global multi-sport competition.
Uber also announced the partnership to provide Seine River cruises in May of this year. This, according to the company, will satisfy the exploding demand brought on by the approaching Olympics in Paris.
These offerings are consistent with the strategy the corporation appears to be employing to attend to the wants of tourists hoping to have amazing trips to Europe shortly.
