The multinational technology company, Lenovo, has teamed up with Trustly to introduce a new Open Banking solution at the point of sale for its clients in the UK and continental Europe.
Angus Cormie, Head of eCommerce for EMEA at Lenovo, confirmed the partnership in a news release.
The checkout technology will be provided by Trustly, a multinational open-banking payment platform.
Lenovo said it is providing its clients with this new technology as a quick, simple, and secure method of making payments.
Customers will have access to a different payment option through the service that is less susceptible to fraud than credit or debit cards.
According to the release, the new service is less prone to fraud than conventional payment methods like debit and credit cards; according to Trustly’s statistics, its e-commerce platform has a fraud rate of 0.01%.
Experts claimed that when compared to conventional payment methods, the checkout technology is secure because it lets users pay for Lenovo goods and services straight from their bank account.
It will improve the payment experience for customers while protecting their data through seamless integration and high security operation.

Earlier this year, Trustly collaborated with MoneyGram to offer cardless payments to millions of MoneyGram consumers throughout Europe.
