Popular cloud-based messaging service Telegram has released several business-focused features aimed at enhancing client engagement and streamlining communication.
This upgrade meets the expanding requirements of companies using the feature-rich and safe Telegram platform.
Telegram work, which was first announced earlier this weekend, offers features including a personalised start page, preset replies, greeting and farewell messages, chatbots, chat tags, and more. It can also be used to specify work hours.
Meanwhile, 50% of the revenue from advertisements displayed in public Telegram channels with 1,000 or more users can now be earned by the channels themselves.
When Pavel Durov, the founder and CEO of Telegram, announced the debut of Telegram Ad Platform in February 2024, he first disclosed the idea to provide channel owners with new revenue streams.
According to Cointelegraph Markets Pro and TradingView, the price of TON has risen 111% since the announcement, from $2.51 on February 29 to $5.30 on April 1.
News.ng understands that Telegram channel owners will be able to take their portion of the ad money without incurring any penalties, as per the company’s statement that these channels produce over one trillion views each month.
Telegram added Toncoin as a payment option for buying ads on the network to promote the effort. Nevertheless, depending on the kind of content a channel offers, Telegram only displays advertisements on Telegram channels.
For consumers who interact with a business for the first time, businesses can also customise greeting messages and choose how long they want to be displayed.
Away messages allow them to control their availability while the company is closed or the owner is away on vacation.
We earlier reported that the CEO and creator of Telegram Pavel Durov announced that the firm raised $330 million last week through the sale of bonds.
