Two UK-based Non-Governmental Organizations, IA-Foundation and PSJUK, are preparing to launch a groundbreaking report titled “Illiteracy and Insecurity: An Unholy Marriage” at the United Kingdom House of Parliament.
The report aims to analyze the complex relationship between education and insecurity across Nigeria’s 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
Mrs. Ibironke Adeagbo, Founder/CEO of IA-Foundation, expressed her enthusiasm for the upcoming launch.
She highlighted the report’s focus on examining the correlation between education and insecurity in Nigeria and emphasized the need for a comprehensive analysis of the challenges facing the education sector, particularly in regions affected by insecurity.
Mr. Ayo Adedoyin, CEO of PSJUK, emphasized the importance of addressing the causes, trends, and implications of high insecurity rates on education development in Nigeria.
He underscored the significance of understanding the impact of insecurity on various levels of education nationwide.
Adeagbo further elaborated on the detrimental effects of insecurity on the education sector, citing direct attacks on learning institutions, students, and infrastructure.
She emphasized the urgency of addressing these challenges through evidence-based solutions.
