Nigerian Afrobeats musician Davido has disclosed why he did not pay tribute to Ifeanyi Adeleke, his late son, in his new album, ‘Timeless’.
Davido’s fans had thought the album would focus on the singer’s late son. However, Davido chose to be more entertaining with the album.
Speaking on Monday during a press conference ahead of the upcoming ‘Timeless’ concert scheduled for April 23 in Lagos, Davido explained that his goal was to release a classic album with minimal or no emotional songs to prevent followers from being emotional over the loss of his son.

He said:
”People who have been following songs for years can attest to this. I have always been a happy person, regardless of what I may be going through.
”If sad songs are to come, it will be an entirely different project on its own as I never had plans of combining them.”
Meanwhile, Davido has disclosed that his father bribed him to return to the university.
The musician made the statement in a recent interview, where he recalled the early days of his fledging music career.
He said he initially left school and even ran away from home, but he was eventually forced to return to complete his education when his father made him a juicy deal.
