Serie A giants AC Milan are considering moving for Bayer Leverkusen striker Victor Boniface to replace ageing French forward Olivier Giroud, who is bound to leave San Siro next summer.
Reports say AC Milan is bound to target the signing of a new striker ahead of the 2024–2025 season, as Giroud is expected to sign a contract with LAFC in June this year.
According to Corriere dello Sport, as reported by Football Italia, if AC Milan are unable to acquire Dutch striker Joshua Zirkzee, the Nigerian striker whose transfer value is worth between €40 and €50 million is their backup target.
The report comes after another report suggests that Juventus FC are also lining up a move for Boniface as a replacement for Serbian international goal-getter Dusan Vlahovic, who may most likely be sold to another club in the summer.

This was disclosed in a report published by Tuttosport which also revealed that Juventus are also considering the signing of Zirkzee should they fail in their bid to sign Boniface.
Boniface has made a significant impact at Bundesliga leaders Bayer Leverkusen this season after joining from Belgian Pro League team Union St Gilloise last summer.
The lethal striker, who has scored 16 goals in 23 appearances in all competitions this season, is back to full fitness after recovering from a groin injury that led to his missing the 2023 AFCON.
