An unnamed English Premier League (EPL) team has reportedly made a verbal inquiry to sign lethal Super Eagles and Bayer Leverkusen striker Victor Boniface.
This was revealed in a German report by Sky, which states that although Leverkusen would be open to speaking with clubs in the event that offers over £47.5 million were presented this summer, the club would prefer to keep Boniface.
Boniface, who has scored 16 goals in 23 appearances in all competitions this season, is back to training after recovering from a groin injury that led to his missing the 2023 AFCON.
His German team, which sits atop the German Bundesliga, is glad to have him back at this crucial juncture, as they have important matches in both the domestic Cup and the Europa League.
Leverkusen have celebrated the return of their top scorer to full fitness, as the Nigerian international was pictured in training with his teammates on Monday.
“And @boniface_jrn is working hard on the comeback! We like the look!” the club wrote on their X account.
