Working to revolutionise video creation and production methods, Adobe has shown off its generative AI video tools. Alongside Adobe’s Firefly generative AI models, the tools, made specifically for Adobe Premiere Pro, let users add or remove items from a scene.
Ashley Still, senior vice president of Adobe’s Creative Product Group, disclosed the development in a media release on Monday.
The company behind design software, Adobe, first revealed the first service in February and is marketing it as a tool for document summarising.
It is called Acrobat AI Assistant. Meanwhile, users can expedite object addition and removal, add additional frames, or create entirely new films with the help of the generative AI services available with Premium Pro.
“Adobe is reimagining every step of video creation and production workflow to give creators new power and flexibility to realize their vision,” said Ashley.
“By bringing generative AI innovations deep into core Premiere Pro workflows, we are solving real pain points that video editors experience every day while giving them more space to focus on their craft.”
Newsng understands that Adobe’s model, like many current generative AI video tools, generates film from scratch (either from a prompt or reference images).
It is the engine behind three new features in Premiere Pro: generative extend, object removal, and object addition.
“Creative Cloud has always had a rich partner and plugin ecosystem, and this evolution expands Premiere Pro as the most flexible, extensible professional video tool that fits any workflow. Adobe customers want choice and endless possibilities as they create and edit the next generation of entertainment and media,” Adobe explains,
The company added that early explorations demonstrate how professional video editors could someday use video generation models from OpenAI and Runway inside Premiere Pro to generate B-roll footage for their project.
Adobe also believes Pika Labs’ generative video tools may work alongside Adobe Generative Extend.
We earlier reported that A new GPT-4 model for the Japanese language will be released by OpenAI along with the opening of an office in Tokyo.
