‘‘He’s an Arsenal player on a permanent deal for £27m as planned; it was already decided and now completed.
‘‘Formal statement to follow but all done for Raya as key part of #AFC project.’’ Romano wrote on X.
Recall that Arsenal completed the signing of Raya last August on an initial £3 million loan deal with a £27 million option to buy in the summer.
The £27 million option has now become an obligation to buy because David Raya was able to meet certain conditions in the contract relating to appearances.
