English Premier League (EPL) side Arsenal are targeting the signing of Napoli striker Victor Osimhen to solve their goal-scoring problems following their exit from the UEFA Champions League, which was largely blamed on their inability to convert their chances.
To address their goal-scoring issues, the Nigerian striker is currently being pursued by the Arsenal board, which is run by Edu Gasper, according to a report released by teamTALK.
The 25-year-old, one of the most sought-after attackers in European sport, has become well-known in Serie A over the last 18 months as a result of his ability to score goals and his all-around play.
Reports say singing Osimhen is part of Arteta’s ongoing plan to add more players, as he did following his sensational acquisitions of Declan Rice and Kai Havertz last summer.

“The plans that we have for the summer are very clear, they were done almost at the start of the season, understanding what we can have, the contract situations with some players, and how we can improve certain areas of the team,” the Spaniard said.
This comes days after former Liverpool defender Steve Nicole explained why Osimhen will be a good fit for his former team as a replacement for Mo Salah. Nicole, who shared his opinion in a recent chat with ESPN, said that Osimhen would be a fantastic replacement for Salah if he leaves the club this year or next year.
He also stated that should Osimhen move to Anfield, Darwin Núñez would be forced to play out wide since his work rate is outstanding, but his clinicality is questionable, unlike the Nigerian international.
