South African Premier Divison side Chippa United could allow Super Eagles first choice goalkeeper Stanley Nwabali leave the club at the end of the season.
This was disclosed on Friday by the Chilli Boys chief executive officer, Siviwe Mpengesi who said that Stanley Nwabali needs something better to advance his career.
The shot stopper who put up a sterling performance during the last AFCON is reportedly being pursued by several overseas teams, and Mpengesi said he will let him go if they make a good offer.
“We are talking to a few clubs abroad. We also believe that he needs something better, especially after the performance that he showed at the Afcon, ”Mpengesi told iDiski Times.

“You know, being number two, they were runner-ups; he was number two, second-best goalkeeper of Afcon, so if the opportunity comes, especially abroad, of course, even if it comes locally and the offer is for him, it’s not even for us. If the offer for him is better, then we will not hold on to him.”
This comes after reports revealed that English Championship side Queens Park Rangers (QPR) could reignite their long-standing interest in signing Nwabali.
According to reports, QPR may try to recruit the experienced goalie, who will be a free agent after this football season.
This season, the 27-year-old goalkeeper for his South African team, Chippa United, has maintained nine clean sheets in 20 league games. A trade was proposed in January, but it never happened.
