Brighton FC Boss De Zerbi has reacted to the recent 3-2 defeat to his club by Chelsea, he says the loss was due to a couple of reasons.
Brighton players were unable to win the match with the Blues even after Chelsea’s Conor Gallagher received a red card in the first 45 minutes.
During the Brighton-hosted match, two Chelsea players Enzo Fernandez and Levi Colwill gave a 2-0 win lead, after which Facundo Buonanotte returned a single goal for Brighton.
During a penalty kick an hour later, Chelsea scored an additional goal, while Joao Pedro added a goal for Brighton FC.
De Zerbi during an interview stated that his team did better than Chelsea in the last Europa League, performing more than Nottingham in the Forest game.
“We made three severe mistakes in the game making us lose, but we are very young and can defend more at such conditions.”
“Am sorry we needed to give a point.”
