French Ligue 1 side Nantes FC has disclosed that Super Eagles winger Moses Simon has been ruled out for the rest of the season after he sustained an injury.
Recall that Simon collided with the Mali goalkeeper during Tuesday’s friendly match between Nigeria and Mali in Marrakech, Morocco, and was eventually stretchered off the field.
The lethal winger, who has bagged no less than 72 caps for the Super Eagles of Nigeria, was later rushed to the hospital following his collision with the Malian goalkeeper.

His club, Nantes, has now confirmed that Simon will miss the rest of the football season after suffering from a broken fibula, which will sideline him for a while.
“Moses Simon was injured yesterday against Mali. Our Nigerian striker suffers from a broken fibula, which means the end of the season,” the club said in a statement.
“FC Nantes is already keen to provide its full support to its attacker and wishes him a speedy recovery.”
