He added that the federal fire service would provide the state with all the necessary support to prevent a fire outbreak and to save lives.

Governor Alex Otti welcomed his visitors and commended the Federal Fire Service for protecting lives and property across the country. He called on the agency to provide all necessary support to his administration to ensure the protection of lives and property.
Otti called on the Federal Fire Service to provide Abia with some of the advanced fire service trucks that would be used in the management of confined fire incident areas in the event of an outbreak.
He commended the Federal government for setting up the training school in the state, adding that the donation of the advanced equipment would help to protect the lives and property of the people of the state, given the large number of commercial and industrial activities in the state.
“We don’t want a situation where we have to run helter–skelter,” Otti said to the firefighters.
