Veteran actor John Ikechukwu Okafor also known as Mr Ibu has thanked God for saving his life.
The actor was battling an ailment which bloated his stomach due to alleged poisoning by his kinsmen.
In May 2022, on the occasion of their wedding anniversary, the actor’s wife, Stella, said he had been readmitted to the hospital prior for food poisoning.

In April, the 61-year-old confirmed that he was back stronger after being poisoned for the third time in about three years.
Speaking with Vanguard in an interview, Mr Ibu claimed his travails were orchestrated by haters bent on ending his life.
But he thanked God for restoring his health, announcing he was fully back on his feet and already shooting a movie after being away for so long.
“Everything that happened to me was actually perpetuated by people who hated me. A lot happened to me that time.
