Muktar Tolani Shagaya, Lawmaker representing Ilorin West/Asa Federal Constituency and Deputy House Committee on Basic Education Services Chairman, has advocated for education reforms nationwide.
The lawmaker made the call at a crucial retreat held in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, convened by the Federal Ministry of Education.
The focus of this gathering was on the ministerial deliverables and the implementation of the transformative “Education for Renewed Hope” initiative.
Underscoring the imperative of quality education for every Nigerian child, irrespective of their socio-economic background, Shagaya emphasized that a nation’s investment in education is synonymous with investing in its future prosperity and progress.
He emphasized that such an investment nurtures innovation, empowers citizens, and lays the groundwork for sustainable development.
He also stressed the significance of fostering a society where opportunities abound, and no one is left behind due to educational disparities.
He added:
