The Minister of State for Labour and Employment, Festus Keyamo, has said that the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Ahmed Tinubu, is not shying away from live interviews.
Keyamo, who doubles as the spokesperson of the Tinubu/Shettima campaign organization, was reacting to media reports against the APC flagbearer in the 2023 presidential election.
According to the report, Tinubu had said he would not address the press because he “is contesting for Nigerian President, not Media President.”
Keyamo described the quote attributed to Tinu as fake news.
The Senior Advocate of Nigeria said Tinubu would speak to Nigerians in the coming days.
“Campaigns have not started. The Nation will hear from him again and again and again,” Keyamo said.
Reacting to the recent photo of Tinubu sleeping at the Emir of Gombe’s palace during a consultative visit to the state, Keyamo said “it is natural for anyone to fall asleep”.
