Controversial Nigerian singer Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, has commended his lawyers for securing his release from police custody.
In a video which surfaced on the internet, Portable advised Nigerians who are in trouble to get themselves lawyers that actually know what they’re doing.
He said:
“Akoi Lawyers!!! “Try to mingle with better lawyers that know Law.”

News.ng recalls that Portable, who was arraigned at the Ifo magistrate court on Monday, April 3, on a three-count charge, was granted bail in the sum of N300,000 and to provide two sureties with landed properties within the court’s vicinity.
Meanwhile, Portable has dismissed reports that the Ogun state police command arrested him.
In a post via his Instagram handle, the singer’s management argued that Portable honoured the police invitation to the station.
“Remain calm as everything is in control. We writing this for those reaching out to us Portable wasn’t arrested he went to the police station himself to honour the invitation of the police,” the statement read.
