Peter Obi has stated that the leaked audio conversation between himself and Bishop Oyedepo is doctored.
The Labour Party (LP) presidential candidate came under fire after news media outlet “The Gazette” made the publication recently.

The former Anambra state governor accused the All Progressives Congress (APC)-led federal of planning to tarnish his image
Obi believes the audio tape was an attempt by the APC to divert his attention for him to reclaim his alleged stolen mandate.
In his words on Twitter: His statement reads in part: “Let me reiterate that the audio call being circulated is fake, and at no time throughout the campaign and now did I ever say, think, or even imply that the 2023 election is, or was a religious war.”
