Seyi Adeoye, the newly appointed president of the Nigerian Marketing Research Association (NiMRA), has pledged to spearhead efforts to revitalise Nigeria’s marketing research sector.
Despite Africa’s modest 2 per cent contribution to global research efforts, Nigeria needs to catch up to countries like Egypt and South Africa in market research.
In his new role, Adeoye, who also serves as the CEO of Pierrine Consulting, said he is committed to reimagining, engaging, and expanding the industry, reflecting his firm’s dedication to pushing boundaries and fostering progress in marketing research.
Adeoye further stated that he has outlined a comprehensive agenda focused on future-proofing NiMRA and enhancing its impact on the Nigerian market.
”This agenda includes establishing robust organisational structures, defining clear value propositions for stakeholders, and boosting NiMRA’s visibility and appeal to attract top talent to the industry,” he noted.
Apart from Adeoye’s election as NiMRA president, Victor Onofomi, one of Pierrine’s lead consultants, was elected as the Financial Secretary of NiMRA.
In reaction to the election, the agency said, ”Adeoye’s dedication to excellence in marketing research is not only a personal passion but also a culture that permeates Pierrine Consulting.
”Onofomi’s decision to assume a leadership role within NiMRA reflects this commitment to excellence and innovation.
”As Nigeria seeks to strengthen its position in the global market research landscape, Pierrine Consulting is poised to play a pivotal role in driving growth, innovation, and excellence in the industry.”
